Boys Varsity Indoor Track
Game Summaries & Headlines.
We'll start off with a 'would've, could've'. What would've been one heck of a battle in the triple jump with Ahmir Johnson in it (season best 48-5.75), still produced three jumpers over 48-0. Milton-Hershey's Treyvon Ferguson hit 48-10 for the win, but Johnson's mark is still the third best in the state.
The 4x4 team, sans (that's french for 'without' for all you Cowboy fans) Ahmir, produced 2 personal bests (soph Robert Wilson 52.4, Brendan Cantos 53.7) and one season best split (Rahsheed Wright 51.0 lead-off leg). Distance man Ben Hoyer, filling in for Johnson, gritted his teeth and literally sprinted his anchor leg in a close-to-his-best of 55.7 to finish off the race. Ranked 20th out of 24 going in, we still managed to move up a few spots to finish in 16th.
