The Wissahickon Girls' Swim and Dive Team started out the dual meet season with a resounding win over William Tennent by finishing first in all but one event. Highlights included:
**Earning the top three spots in three events:
200 yard Freestyle - 1st Carly Zlotnikoff - in a District One Championship Qualifying time, 2nd - Caitlin Valentine and 3rd - Lindsay Burden in a photo finish over a William Tennent swimmer
100y Free - 1st -Julia Weiss, 2nd - Jaclyn Staub and 3rd - Caitlin Valentine
100y Backstroke - 1st - Julia Weiss, 2nd - Jillian Garvey, 3rd - Rachel Duff
**Tess Klugherz winning Diving in a District One Championship Qualifying score
**A close 1-2 finish in the 400y Free Relay with the team of Jaclyn Staub, Becca Valentine, Karis Kim and Kaite Sapozhnikov narrowly beating the team of Carly Zlotnikoff (leading off in another D1 Championship Qualifying time in the 100y Freestyle), Caitlin Valentine, Julia Ronca and Julia Weiss
