The Wissahickon girls lacrosse team won another barn burner 17-16 in OT vs a very talented Souderton team tonight.It was Wissahickon's third one goal victory in a row. Souderton started out on fire leading 4-0 and 6-2 before Wissahickon turned up the heat to take a 10-7 halftime lead. Wissahickon lead by as many as 7 goals at 15-8 before Souderton made a run of its own. With Sam Intrieri on the sideline bleeding after a stick to the head, momentum had shifted to Souderton. With the score tied at 16 apiece Wissahickon regrouped for overtime. Sam Intrieri returned to the game for Wissahickon. The trojans won the draw in OT and Intrieri passed to Sophia Chiodo Ortiz for the game winner! Both teams played an excellent game. The trojans were led by Chiodo Ortiz's 7 goals and 2 assists. Intrieri had 5 goals and one assist. Kelly Dickson added 2 goals and 2 assists. Quinn Gaffey had 2 goals and 1 assist. Abby Degroat had one goal. Emma Baker, Brooke Berry and Lexi Hobson all chipped in with one assist each. Emma Baker did an excellent job on the draw as well.
