Wissahickon was celebrating their two Senior Players Emma Clayborne and Charlotte Horvat. Emma took the mound and pitched very well. Emma struck out 7 while allowing 2 runs in the Second inning and a meaningless run in the top of the 7th. "We traded a run for an out". "Except for the 2nd inning runs Clayborne was in control the whole game". She ended 4 innings with Strikeouts. Wissahickon jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning. UD came right back to get 2 in the bottom of the 2nd. It looked like it was going to be a typical UD/Wiss game. While Clayborne shutting down the Cardinals the Trojans scored runs in every inning. Highlights for the Trojans included Clayborne going 3-4 with 2 RBI's, Katelyn Fitzgerald 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI's, Sophomore Emma Dutill hit a solo homer and 2 runs scored. Luca Penna was 2-4 with a run scored. "It was a nice team win. We moved runners, scored 10 runs against a good pitcher and played pretty good defense". Now we move on to PW for another step in our quest for a Home Playoff game". "Beating a good team like UD really gets us going". "They girls are determined to beat these 3 good teams to end the season strong".
