ABINGTON HIGH SCHOOL: 2
Thrilling 3-2 win for the Trojans in double OT over a very solid Abington team. Trojans came out strong, but could not break through in the first 15 minutes. Abington's keeper came up big twice on chances in tight keepeing it scoreless. An own goal by Wiss shifted the score and the momentum to the Ghosts for the next 15 minutes. Wiss leveled the score at 1-1 on a nice low strike by Margaret Wilde just before half. Abington scored in the second half on a corner to the near post. Wiss tied the score 2-2 on a long lofted ball by Sage Stelzer that found the back of the net. After hitting the post early in the first OT, the Trojans would not be denied in the 95th minute. Eva Schools laid off a pass to Lucy Greenstein who belted a ball top left for the win.
