After 3 tough losses Wissahickon got off the Schneid with a 7-0 shutout win over Abington. It was a Senior-led win. Senior Pitcher Danielle Ciliberto had 13 K's, 1 Walk (HBP) and allowed 1 hit while picking up her first win of season. Senior Captain Luca Penna was 3-4 with 3 doubles and 3 runs scored. Senior Captain and Catcher Gracie Franczyk called a terrific games for Ciliberto while also scoring a run. Ciliberto also went 3-4 (HBP) scoring on balls hi by Senior Captain 1b Katelyn Fitzgerald and Franczyk. 

"For some reason we kept finding everyone's fielders the last 3 games. We had runners in scoring position but they weren't running by me. So I decided to bunch the Seniors together at the top of the lineup and let them lead the way."" I was very unhappy with our play against Council Rock South and let the girls know how I felt. I thought they were too good to let these games go. We had 1 inning in each game where we messed up and it cost us the game. Today we tightened it up really well. Hopefully this is the beginning of something good." 
 

 Gracie and Danielle really had a good game today. I think Gracie is on of the best defensive catchers around and Danielle is usually very tough. I never have to call a pitch with Gracie behind the plate. 
Our defense backed up Danielle today. I will admit we are a little young on the left side with Sophomore Sienna Miller at 3b and Freshman Morgan Risnychok at SS but they are going to good players for us. They did very well today. Junior Emma Dutill is always good at 2b. I don't worry about her and Fitz on the right side.
