The Wissahickon Trojans finished the regular season with a strong decisive Senior Night 67-37 win over visiting Springfield Township High school. As of last Friday night, Wissahickon was at the 29th spot in District 1 6A rankings and feeling nauseous coming of a come-from behind defeat by the Cheltenham Panthers. The Trojans at 8-11 knew that all they could do for their last three games was focus on what they could control. The team locked in and beat their final three opponents by an average of 25 points. Tonight the Trojans jumped out on the Spartans for a 19-10 first quarter lead and continued their strong play for all four quarters. For Wissahickon, Mason Stelzer had 12, Ben Schwartz had 21, and Nico Vacchiano had 22. Bob Hartman had 13 for the Spartans.

The Trojans celebrated their victory with their seniors in the lobby of their gym, and midway through the celebration a player pulled out their phone, and to the team's surprise, they were sitting at the 23rd spot in the rankings. Nothing is official yet, but it was and great ending to a regular season, and now they sit with fingers crossed waiting and hoping for an opportunity to extend their season.
