The Wissahickon Trojans lost a hard-fought battle to Spring-Ford 59-48 in the opening game of the North Penn Battle at the Castle Tournament. The game was extremely tight in the early minutes, but Spring -Ford went on an 8-point run at the end of the first, and it was a lead the Trojans couldn’t overcome.
The Trojans made a solid push in the third to cut into the lead and to start the fourth, but the Rams precision and ball control was solid, and they managed time and clock to earn a solid victory.
Syaire Barnes led Spring-Ford with 19.
Nico Vacchiano led Wissahickon with 16.
The Trojans will play tomorrow at 12:45 against the loser of the North Penn - Mastery Charter game.
