For the Wissahickon Trojans, after a power outage cancelled their game against Quakertown a week ago, the team was anxious to get back on the court. Playing Perkiomen Valley at their place in their tournament was a daunting challenge, but the Trojans rose to the occasion and earned a solid 56-52 victory. Wissahickon got out to a solid 13-9 first quarter behind solid shooting by Zach Schwartz and Nico Vacchiano, but Chase Kelly and Jon Boyd brought the Vikings back to take a one-point lead into halftime. The score went back & forth late in the final period, and Wissahickon's 7'0" big man Jona Sellenriek had 6 of his 14 points and went 7 for 7 from the field to help the Trojans get the win. Nico Vacchiano led all scores with 18, but the team also got a big contribution from Zach Schwartz with 15 points and three 3s.
Wissahickon plays Methacton tomorrow at 11:30. (At Perk Valley)
