The Wissahickon Trojans earned a win over visiting Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School out of Allentown. The Trojans entered the week needing three wins, and after beating Hatboro on Tuesday, and Upper Moreland last night, the team had one more hurdle in their path, and they leaped over it with flying colors. Wissahickon charged out to a 15-6 first quarter lead with Nico Vacchiano scoring 9 in the frame. In the second quarter it was a high scoring stretch where the Trojans outscored the Lincoln Lions 25-18 to take a 40-24 lead into the half. In the third, the Lions looked to lock in on defense, but Zach Schwartz hit three huge 3s in the period to break open an inspired defense, and the Trojans marched on to victory. Nico Vacchiano led all scores with 24, and Zach Schwartz had 22.
The Trojans will await Sundays seeding meeting to see who they will play in Districts.
