CHELTENHAM HIGH SCHOOL: 10
Freshman Pitcher Emma Clayborne had herself a game against Cheltenham today. Emma had a strange box score. As a pitcher she cruised through the Cheltenham lineup for the first 3 innings recording 4 strikeouts while facing 10 batters. Her Trojan teammates jumped out to a 10-0 lead. 13 hits by Eryn Downey (3-5, 3 runs scored), Rebecca Selverian ( 3 runs scored, 2 hits), Clayborne (4-5, 7 RBI 4 runs scored plus 3 run HR), Kailyn Pappanastisou (2 hits), Ashley Radell (2 hits,) all contributed to the initial 10 run lead. Cheltenham did not give up. Batting around in the 4th, Cheltenham roared back with 9 runs of their own. 10-9 Wissahickon. In the bottom of 4th with Selverian and Asya Lee on base Clayborne went yard for a 3 run homer that kept the Trojans ahead for good at 13-9. Each team added a run for the 14-10 final.
