PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH HIGH SCHOOL: 28
The football team traveled to PW on Friday for the SOL American opener. The Trojans struggled in the first half in producing consistency on offense and defense while PW was able to build a 14-0 lead at halftime. The second half saw a different Trojan team take the field. The Trojans played PW to a 14-14 second half performance. The Trojans will look to take that second half performance into next weeks game at Hatboro-Horsham. The offense was paced by Marice Johnson Jr who ran for 64 yards, Maurice Willis played big pulling in 10 receptions for 158 yards and 2 TD, and Nick Santo throwing 18-35 for 226 yards with 2 TD and 2 INTs. The defense saw a continue strong performance from Jalen Smalls at the LB position and Brian Menhardt getting an INT.Up next for the Trojans is to travel to Hatboro-Horsham next Friday (7pm kickoff).
