The Wissahickon Girls Indoor Track Team traveled to Penn State University over the weekend to compete in the Indoor Track State Championship Meet.  Cala Lejman completed a very successful season with a 12th place finish in the pole vault clearing a height of 11 feet.  Hayley Ross competed for a second straight year in the 800 meters, running her best time of the season (2:20.93) and placing in 19th in the State. Finally, the 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Michela Coleman, Rachel Coleman, Lieke Black and Hayley Ross ran a very exciting race, finishing 8th in the state to earn a spot on the awards podium. Their time of 4:01.06, was their fastest time of the season, by more than 7 seconds, with each member of the relay running their own personal best split.  Michela led off running the first 400 meters in 59.1 seconds, followed by her sister Rachel who ran a 59.2, then Lieke ran a 61.9 third leg, and passed to Hayley who ran the final leg in 60.9.
