The Wissahickon High School Girls Indoor Track & Field Team traveled to Alvernia University this past Friday night December 10^th for their first Indoor Meet and competed against 65 other teams. The Trojans had a very successful evening with several team members placing in the top 6 in their individual events and earning medals. Senior Lena Perlmutter placed 2nd in the pole vault clearing a height of 10 feet, 6 inches, junior Mila Jovanovic placed 4^th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:27.37, freshman Jessica Palish placed 4^th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.15 seconds and junior Laila Cottom placed 5^th in the 400 meters with a time of 63.43.  Lena, Mila and Jessica all qualified to compete in the Meet of Champions in February. The 4x200 meter relay team consisting of Laila Cottom, Mila Jovanovic, Emma Jovanovic and Jessica Palish also earned medals for their placed 6^th place finish a time of 1:53.43 Congratulations girls.  The team will compete again at Alvernia next Friday evening December 17th.
