Girls Varsity Indoor Track & Field at LeHS University

Twenty members of the Wissahickon Girls Indoor Track & Field team traveled to Lehigh University this past Friday, January 17th to compete against more than 60 teams in their 7th meet of the season. It was an exciting evening with 4 team members earning medals in their respective events. Senior Brooklyn Compas placed 4th in Shot Put, throwing 34 feet, one half inch, while junior Adrianna Skerrett placed 6th in the 60m hurdles in a personal best time of 10.07 seconds. Sophomore Natalie Williams placed 6th in the 800 meters clocking 2:34.82, and freshman Ameerah Jones-Rines placed 1st in long jump, jumping 16 feet 11.5 inches. Ameerah also placed 6th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.3 seconds.
The team will travel to Alvernia on Friday January 31st for their next meet.
