Foster 7th in 60M at State Champs, 4x800 10th

State College, Pa. - After his pre-lim and advancing into the semi-finals (top 16), Jaylen complained of an issue with his hip. Proceeding with caution, he was still able to run near his best (PR of 6.95) wth 7.05, 7.01 in semis and 6.99 in the final nabbing a 7th place medal.
The 4x800 relay came in with a season best of 8:15.55. They cut 5 seconds off that mostly on the back of Grayson Ruffner's 1:55.41 anchor leg. After the meet was over, Ruffner's split was the fastest 800 leg of the meet. Twenty 4x8 teams (80 legs) plus the ten Distance Medleys (10 more). An impressive #1 out of 90!

Bethlehem, Pa - Saturday at Lehigh University, the Track and Field Coaches Association of Greater Philadelphia (TFCAGP) held its 56th annual Meet of Champions bringing together the top athletes from the past indoor season. It takes a 1st or 2nd place in the eight regular season meets or run a qualifying time to make it into the MOC.
After the prelims of the 60m, Jaylen Foster had the 3rd fastest time (7.13) heading into the finals. Deciding to not use blocks in the final (he said they felt "mushy"), he responded to the gun first and was never headed. 6.95 breaks 7.03 by Tyreece Clayton from 2010. His time is tied for 3rd state-wide heading into State College next Sunday.
Grayson Ruffner was looking to improve upon his 1:59.13 from two weeks ago but managed only 2:00.04 while running in lane 2 for most of the race. It is, however, a personal best on a flat track.
Josh Sasson had his 2nd personal best in as many outings at 3000m. 9:56.59 finishing in 12th place.
Foster Breaks School 55m Record, Harvey-Sheppard wins Freshman 200m

Staten Island NYC, Ocean Breeze Invitational - After running the fastest time in the pre-lims, Dominic Harvey-Sheppard repeated the feat in the finals posting 23.09 taking the Freshman Division 200M. His time ranks him #2 state-wide for freshmen.He also finished 3rd in the Freshman 55m.
Jaylen Foster finished 2nd in the Varsity Division 55m dash. His 6.44 is a new school record and the fastest time run in the state this season (PA #1).
Grayson Ruffner ran a state meet qualifying time of 1:59.63 to finish 16th overall for 800m
Mile personal bests were run by Josh Sasson, Luke Etzler, Ray Pelletier, Logan Radell, Jishnu Dass, Caleb Han and Tyler Seaman.
Sheppard wins 200, Sasson into Meet of Champs

Bethlehem 1/7 - Freshman Dom Sheppard notched a big PR in taking the 200 for his first win of his high school career up at Lehigh on Saturday. His 23.53 also ranks him #2 state-wide for freshmen.
The 3000 saw Josh Sasson grab a second place medal with a PR of his own. 9:57.74 also gets him into the Meet of Champs.
Jaylen Foster had the fastest qualifier in the 60 dash (7.08) but withdrew from the final with a sore leg.
Other Medalists were the Distance Medley Relay team in 4th, Brandon Haines in 4th 800m 2:07.12, and the Freshman-Soph DMR in 2nd place.
Ruffner into Meet of Champs

Bethlehem - The Burdette Indoor Classic on Thursday saw Grayson Ruffner hit the MOC standard in 2:02.34 at 800 meters good enough for 2nd place. The only other medalist was Matt Winkowski who placed 5th in the mile with an indoor personal best of 4:41.77.

Bethlehem 12/17 - Jaylen Foster continued his winning ways taking the 200m in 23.26 marking his second win (60m last week) in as many tries. Both the 4x800 with Jishnu Dass, Ralph Antonucci, Alex Gobin and Mike Lambright and the Distance Medley of Brenden Tatko, Josh Dass, Brandon Haines and Matt Winkowski (4:41 anchor mile) took 3rd place medals. Triple jumper Vik Iyer grabbed a 5th place medal.
Foster #2 Statewide 60 Dash

Bethlehem - Jaylen Foster kicked off the indoor season running the fastest 60 dash out of both divisions last Saturday up at Lehigh U. His 7.07 betters his 7.12 of last season and qualifies him for the State Championships. It's only .04 off the school record (7.03 Tyreece Clayton 2008) and ranks #2 in the state so far.
Other medalists included a 3rd place 4x200 (Dom Harvey-Sheppard, Foster, Jeevan Jouhal, Keath McKelvey), and 3rd place Distance Medley (Brandan Haines, Hubert Liu, Alex Gobin, Grayson Ruffner).
