Danielle Ciliberto had herself a pretty good game on the mound and at the plate in Wissahickon's 13-2 Win over William Tenent. Ciliberto struck out 8 batters, allowed 3 hits, scored 3 runs and knocked in 2 runs. "She is having an MVP year for us." Says Coach Borkowski. This year I said she "looked different. She has really matured. Danielle is having a real nice year" One player responsible for her pitching success has been Gracie Franczyk. "I really want to recognize her. Gracie has done a terrific calling games. I have yet to call a pitch. Rory Goodrich (last year's catcher) and Gracie talk. Rory has been great to have as a volunteer coach. She's going to be a top coach one day." First baseman Katelyn Fitzgerald is another player having a nice year. Fitz had 4 RBI's and 3 Runs scored. "Fitz has been terrific this year Her clutch hitting has really been a huge factor in us winning 4 games this year. " I also would like to give a big shoutout to some of our JV players who contributed". Meredith Walsh and Sienna Miller jumped in today and played well. Meredith was flawless in RF and Sienna had a big-time bunt to get Emma Dutill into scoring position. We are missing our SS again today so some young players are out of position but they hung in there. We only have 9 players on Varsity so we have to use JV to help us. They played well today."
