Wissahickon girls dropped their season opener to 2022's State Runner Up, North Penn. The First quarter saw a back and forth battle, with the Knights leading 4-3 after the first seven minutes. The Knights took advantage of their power play opportunities throughout the game. Wissahickon goalie Mia Bananis stopped 8 shots in the effort. Faith Pigeon led the defensive effort with two steals and three exclusions earned. Rachel Le, Bernice Fu, Anna Forde and Casey Burden each added a steal. On Offense, Pigeon scored 3, Forde, Fu and Le each had one and Maddy Radell and Syd McGinley tallied an assist. The Trojans are back in action on the road Tuesday at Springfield Township.
