CHELTENHAM HIGH SCHOOL: 18
The Wrestling Team picked up a big league victory on Wednesday night as they defeated Cheltenham 63-18. With two league matches left, we're still in the hunt for a league title, but it won't be easy still having to face Upper Moreland and Quakertown, but we will give it our best! We won 9 of the 11 matches contested (we received 2 forfeits and gave up 1) and 8 of our 9 wins came by fall. Jared Taylor won by decision at 285 giving away 62lbs to his opponent! Jared never wrestled before this year, so I am extremely proud of his commitment and effort. It was also nice to see 3 of our JV wrestlers (Palmer Smith, Gavin Simmons and Jacob Reish) finally get a chance to wrestle their first matches of the year with Palmer and Gavin coming away with victories.

The team now stands at 8-6 on the season (4-1 in the league). Next up Pottsgrove tomorrow night at home. Hope to see you there!
