An awesome character team building game. Coming off a very tough loss to Hatboro Horsham less than 24 hours later and falling behind 0-3 against a tough team so quickly in the heat and on a grass field, it would have been very easy for this young team to fold up tent.

Instead they fought through it. Quinn Klessel Wissahickon's GK kept it 0-3 with some key saves (and some post luck to be sure) in the first half and in the second half her Trojans found a gear through the exhaustion and scored almost as many goals in one half as they had in the previous 5 games. Part of the puzzle was eliminating LC's #14 as a threat and Captain Sam Comonitski stepping in for Rachel Cohan in the second half to do just that. Playing man-to-man she did not give up an inch.

On offense, Senior Captain Alexis Smith fought along side her team for a hat-trick scoring at minutes 60:09, 61:20 and 71:41. These goals, one a PK, assisted by Anna Schools, Carly Amado and Lieke Black were phenomenal! Total control coming from the middle third to penetrate the attacking third, to find our target up top. And off a set piece Victoria Selverian capitalized shooting on frame, very posed and in control to add to the tally.

It was not a W but it is exactly the kind of game a young team can rally around! A night to day turnaround - Keep pushing Wiss!!
