Abington came to Ambler with the top 4x4 in the state and beat us up on the track pretty good. Sweeping the 100, 200, taking 1-2 in the 400, winning the 4x1, 4x4, 4x8, 110 hurdles and 3200. We only managed wins in the 300 hurdles, 800 and 1600 with Grayson Ruffner taking the two distance races.
The 300 hurdles saw Dominic Harvey-Shepard lower his own freshman school record with 41.05 besting 41.38 from a week ago.
We countered their track sweeps with sweeps in the field, going 1-2-3 in the pole vault, long jump, triple jump, javelin and went 1-2 in the discus. Final score: Us 82 - Them 68
That's why we call it track AND FIELD!
