The Wissahickon Girls' Swim Team headed to Cheltenham to take on the Panthers yesterday. Through the first eight events the Lady Trojans were up by just a narrow seven point lead. Then they found another gear to pull ahead and seal the win after a sweep of the first three places in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Highlights included:

-wins in all three relays: the 200y medley (Julia Weiss, Maddy Hippensteal, Karis Kim, Liliana Xu), the 200y freestyle (Kim, Xu, Katie Sapozhnikov, Carly Zlotnikoff) and the 400y freestyle (Sapozhnikov, Hanna Park, Weiss, Zlotnikoff)

-sweeps of the first three places in the 200y IM (Kim, Xu, Hippensteal) and 100y breaststroke (Hippensteal, Kim and Kaitlyn Pigeon)

-additional individual wins by: Sapozhnikov in the 200y free and 100y butterfly; Zlotnikoff in the 50 and 500y freestyles; and Weiss in the 100y backstroke.

-Karis Kim also earned a District One Consideration time in her 2nd place finish in the 100y breaststroke.

The final score was Wissahickon with 107 to Cheltenham's 76 points.
