CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL: 88
On Thursday, the Wissahickon Girls' Swim Team hosted a tough Central Buck South team. CBS took the early lead, and after diving they were up by 4 points. After the 100 yard fly, the score was tied. Then the home team took the lead after the 100 yard free and never looked back. In order to win, the Trojans needed to place at least second in the final relay. They ended up winning it in an automatic District One Championship qualifying time and new pool record! The final score was Wiss 98-CBS 88.
Highlights included individual wins by:
Maddy Hippensteal in the 100y breaststroke
Karis Kim in the 200y IM (District One automatic qualifying time) and 100y fly (D1 consideration time)
Tess Klugerz in a new school record for diving
Katie Sapozhnikov in the 50y free and 500y free (D1 automatic qualifying time)
Carly Zlotnikoff in the 100y and 200y freestyles (both D1 automatic qualifying times)
And relay wins for:
200y Freestyle (Kim, Jaclyn Staub, Sapozhnikov, Zlotnikoff) in a D1 consideration time
400y Freestyle (Kim, Sapozhnikov, Julia Weiss , Zlotnikoff) in a D1 automatic time
