Wissahickon hosted CB West in a very exciting swim meet this afternoon. The Bucks took the early lead, and built upon it but the Trojans kept chipping away. After a win in the 200 Free Relay, Wiss was within one point of CB West with three events remaining. Both teams earned eight points in the 100 back. With Maddie Johnson's big win the in second to last event, the 100 breast, the Trojans took their first lead by a single point. The meet came down to the final event - the 400 Free relay where the Trojans were aiming for a District One Championship Consideration time. They did their season best, got the D1 cut by over four seconds, and won the meet by three points!

Meet highlights included:

200 Free- Sarah Pickel won in a District One Championship Consideration time and personal best.

200 IM- Maddie Johnson won with a season best time beating her previous D1 Consideration time by about 4 seconds.

Regan Santoro won diving by a massive 75 points.

Ava Walters achieved a D1 Championship Consideration time in her second place finish in the 100 Fly.

Sarah Pickel and Rachel Le went 1-2 in the 100 free, both in personal best times.

Bernice Fu won the 500 free by 18 seconds

Ava Walters, Rachel Le, Bernice Fu, and Sarah Pickel teamed up for a win in the 200 Free Relay, getting a D1 Championship Consideration time by 3/100ths of a second.

Ava Walters won the 100 back in a season best time.

Maddie Johnson dropped over two seconds from her previous time in the 100 breast for the win. 

The 400 Free Relay of Sarah Pickel, Bernice Fu, Ava Walters, and Maddie Johnson crushed their previous season best to win in a D1 Championship Consideration time. 

Additionally, there were sixteen season best times in individual events.

The next meet is this Friday 1/28 at home against Springfield Township HS.
