The Wiss Girls headed to York for District One Championships over the weekend. They ended up placing a very respectable 14th in the team scoring. Each girl who swam individual events had at least one best time, and the 200y and 400y relays had strong performances. The team needs to wait for other districts to have their championships before knowing who will make PIAA State Championships but do have a good chance to advance in several events.

200y Medley Relay: 

-Rachel Le, Bernice Fu, Brynn Remar, Gabby Jones - 24th

200y Free:

-Sarah Pickel - moved up from 18th to 15th in a personal best by over a second

-Ava Walters - 25th

-Brynn Remar - moved up from 40th to 33rd and dropped nearly a second

200y IM: 

-Maddie Johnson - moved up from 17th to 10th in a personal best by over 2 seconds

50y Free: 

-Rachel Le - 32nd

200y Free Relay: 

-Sarah Pickel, Rachel Le, Maddie Johnson, Ava Walters - 11th

100y Free: 

-Sarah Pickel - 25th

-Rachel Le - moved up from 40th to 35th in a personal best and broke 56 seconds for the first time

500y Free:

Ava Walters - moved up a position to place 14th and dropped over a second

100y Breaststroke:

Maddie Johnson - moved up from  21st to 11th in a personal best time

400y Free Relay:

Sarah Pickel, Brynn Remar, Maddie Johnson, Ava Walters - made the podium by placing 8th in a very exciting finish!
