Wissahickon Girls Water Polo made history on Saturday by capturing the Flight II Championship at the Beast of the East Water Polo Tournament at Governor Mifflin. This marks the first time in school history that either boys or girls water polo won this Flight. The Trojans played well in all three of their games on Saturday, handling Episcopal Academy 10-5, then besting Penn Charter 14-7 in the semi-finals and finished the day by beating Eastern Conference foe Souderton by a score of 8-4. Goalie Caitlin Valentine stopped 38 shots through the three games. The Trojans will put their undefeated conference record to the test when they travel to North Penn on Tuesday. Go Blue!
