Girls Varsity Water Polo Clinch 2 Seed with Win Over Pennridge

The Trojans clinched the 2 seed for the Eastern Conference Tournament with a convincing 13-8 win over Pennridge Tuesday. Becca Valentine led the offensive attack with 6 goals and an assist, Anna Alberti 3 goals, 2 assists, Chloe Lovensheimer 2 goals 1 assist, Emma Bening 1 goal 1 assist, Sophia Tsiobikas 1 goal, and Maggie Krieger 1 assist. Defensively the Trojans locked down the rams with 18 steals and 4 field blocks. Laila Kennedy and Jaclyn Staub played huge roles for the defense each contributing 2 steals and goalie Caitlin Valentine stopped 13 shots to earn the win. The Trojans will finish regular season play with Senior Night on Thursday as they host North Penn.
