Congratulations to the 15 girls from the indoor track team who competed in their first meet at Lehigh University this past Friday evening. We had solid performances by each member of the team. In the track events, special recognition goes to two seniors - the Coleman sisters. Rachel Coleman finished 7th place in the 200 meters out 69 runners, with a time of 27.54. Twin sister Michela, placed 14th out of 54 runners in the 400 meters with a time of 63.44. Both girls came very close to qualifying for our Meet of Champions to be held in February. In the field events, highlights included Mallory Goodman's and Manifa Jones' performances in the shot put. Mallory threw a personal best by 5 feet with a throw of 22 feet, 8 inches, and Manifa was close behind, throwing 22 feet 7 and a half inches, in her first ever competition in this event. Our next meet is the Robert Burdette Track Classic at Lehigh on December 26th.?
