Foster Breaks 60m School Record, Wins Meet of Champs, Ruffner 3rd at 800m

Bethlehem, Pa - Saturday at Lehigh University, the Track and Field Coaches Association of Greater Philadelphia (TFCAGP) held its 56th annual Meet of Champions bringing together the top athletes from the past indoor season. It takes a 1st or 2nd place in the eight regular season meets or run a qualifying time to make it into the MOC.

After the prelims of the 60m, Jaylen Foster had the 3rd fastest time (7.13) heading into the finals. Deciding to not use blocks in the final (he said they felt "mushy"), he responded to the gun first and was never headed. 6.95 breaks 7.03 by Tyreece Clayton from 2010. His time is tied for 3rd state-wide heading into State College next Sunday.

Grayson Ruffner was looking to improve upon his 1:59.13 from two weeks ago but managed only 2:00.04 while running in lane 2 for most of the race. It is, however, a personal best on a flat track.

Josh Sasson had his 2nd personal best in as many outings at 3000m. 9:56.59 finishing in 12th place.
